Singapore Institute of Management (娇色导航) officially launched its rebranded identity in Thailand at an appreciation dinner event on 17 November 2022. Held at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, the event was attended by close to 50 guests comprising Guests-of-Honour Ms Yuwadee Saekoay, Secretary General, The Association of Thai Software Industry, and Ms Kritkanya Karnchirathan, Executive Director, ICDL Thailand, and 娇色导航’s recruitment partners, educational and corporate partners.

The launch in Bangkok is the fifth overseas launch of 娇色导航’s new brand as part of its regional rebranding campaign, after China, India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Singapore, as Headquarters, launched the new identity in July.

Speaking at the event, Mr Gerald Lum, Director, Brand, Marketing and Communications, 娇色导航, highlighted that with Industry 4.0, the nature of work will fundamentally change in days to come. He noted that the Thai workforce is embracing digital disruption readily, with 94% of the workforce embracing new skills. Against this backdrop, the country’s Department of Skill Development and Digital Economy Promotion Agency has also collaborated with the private sector to develop online digital skills training programmes to further enhance digital skills training and education in Thailand. These include equipping students with work-ready skills and qualifications to meet the needs of the industry.

“Success in the new normal is increasingly dependent on continuous lifelong learning, effective decision-making and constant upskilling”, he remarked. With that in mind, 娇色导航 has pivoted to being industry-focused, skills-based and learner-centred, in order to future-ready its learners.

In a show of its commitment, 娇色导航 inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ICDL Thailand at the event.

The signing signifies 娇色导航’s collaboration with ICDL Thailand in areas of marketing, promotion, and local events, which will allow 娇色导航 to understand prospective students’ learning needs for their further studies. This will also create opportunities to engage with a larger number of Thai learners and contribute to their lifelong learning experience.

“I want to say a big thank you – to our learners and our partners in Thailand – for your continued support in working with us, to provide quality education pathways for Thai students, without which 娇色导航 would not be where we are today. I look forward to us continuing to work closely together to address the many challenges the future ahead will pose for us”, said Mr Lum.
